Nepali Mountain Guide association

About the project

A first project was organized together with the International Federation of Mountain Guide Associatoins (IFMGA). More then ten Sherpas were trained in Switzerland and in France to become International acknowledged mountain guides. In 2012 this lead to the foundation of the National Nepal Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA).

Today the National Nepal Mountain Guide Association can organize their own mountain guide courses in Nepal. Experts financed by the Swiss Sherpa Foundation are attending the courses from time to time.

Background:
As an approved mountan guide, Patrick Z’Brun wanted to enable the Sherpas the education to international approved mountain guides so in the future they could benefit better in expeditions and trekkings.
